Our modular system approach, developed for the early broadcast industry, has become the industry standard for all control room and command center markets, and our experience developing specialized custom products enables us to offer console and technical furniture solutions for any application.
Winsted expanded into overseas markets, primarily in England.
The company began concentrated efforts to establish distribution in the Far East.
Winsted's international distribution was firmly established with the formation of Winsted, Ltd. in England. Winsted, Ltd. has become a successful marketing and manufacturing operation serving the European, Middle Eastern and African markets.
Distributor agreements were established in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea.
Winsted acquired Technical Interiors, a Georgia-based company with 25 years of experience designing and manufacturing custom consoles of the highest standards for the nuclear power industry.
Technical Interiors was renamed Winsted Custom Division, which solidified our mission of providing the highest quality consoles and furniture solutions to mission critical facilities around the world.
Winsted further expanded its custom capabilities with the launch of Winsted Custom Wood. This new division enables Winsted to further expand our custom control room capabilities and fully realize our value proposition of offering stock, customized and custom console solutions to our customers. With the expansion, Winsted has added many skilled craftsmen who bring years of custom woodworking experience, as well as a state-of-the-art production facility.
